Apps That Find Your Newsletters and Suggest Unsubscribes (2026)
By Srivatsa ยท 2026-11-05

Clean Email, Leave Me Alone, Trimbox and Replyless all scan your inbox and put every newsletter in one list, and Gmail and Outlook.com now do a free version of the same thing. Replyless is the one in this group that also suggests an action for each sender and works on Zoho Mail, while Clean Email and Leave Me Alone are better if you want to keep some newsletters but read them as a digest.
Updated November 2026
Finding newsletters is the easy part. Every tool here can do it. The differences are in what happens next: whether the tool tells you which senders to drop, how the unsubscribe is actually done, and what it does with the newsletters you want to keep.

"Find" is not the same as "suggest"
A list of 140 newsletters is only half an answer. You still have to decide, one by one, which to keep.
A tool that suggests goes a step further: it looks at how much a sender sends and what kind of mail it is, then proposes an action. You still decide, but you start from a recommendation instead of a blank list. Of the vendors here, only Replyless describes doing this on its own site. Clean Email, Leave Me Alone, Trimbox and the built-in tools give you a clean list and leave the call to you.
That matters less if you have 20 newsletters and more if you have 300.
Replyless
An AI email assistant whose cleaner groups noisy senders and suggests what to do with each one. You confirm every action. Disclosure: this is our product.
- How it finds them: the cleaner looks at sender, volume and size across your recent mail, groups senders into categories such as Newsletters, Promotions and Updates using the AI label on each email (with a keyword fallback), and checks the newest emails from each sender for an unsubscribe link.
- What it suggests: each sender gets a suggested action (unsubscribe, archive, trash, or review it yourself) and a short reason. Nothing happens until you choose it. See how cleaner and unsubscribe suggestions work.
- How unsubscribe works: on Gmail and Outlook, Replyless reads the sender's unsubscribe headers and can finish the unsubscribe itself, by one-click request, by email, or by visiting the link. When the sender's page needs a person, it tells you so.
- Zoho Mail, honestly: Zoho connects through Zoho's own sign-in, and the cleaner still finds the unsubscribe link in each newsletter's footer. It cannot read Zoho's unsubscribe headers, though, so on Zoho some senders need you to open the link and finish on their page.
- The backlog: after unsubscribing you can archive, mark done or trash that sender's old mail in bulk. Trash is restorable, nothing is permanently deleted, and starred mail, your Important inbox and people you email are never touched. A free account covers 5,000 cleanup actions per mailbox. There is no block-sender action.
Best for: people with several accounts, including Zoho, who want a recommendation per sender rather than a long list to work through.
Clean Email
A mature cleaner with a dedicated Unsubscriber that groups subscriptions by their unsubscribe link.
- How it finds them: it identifies subscriptions from the unsubscribe link in message headers, so one company sending under different names still shows as one subscription.
- Unsubscribe options: unsubscribe in bulk, or pause a sender, which sends their mail to Trash without actually unsubscribing.
- Keep but quieter: route a mailing list to Read Later and get a daily or weekly summary instead.
- Plan: Unsubscriber is a premium feature. A 14-day Premium trial needs no card. One account costs $9.99 a month or $29.99 a year.
- Providers: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, Fastmail and any IMAP account.
Best for: people on Yahoo, iCloud or AOL who want unsubscribing, pausing and digests in one paid tool.
Leave Me Alone
A subscription manager built around unsubscribing and controlling what reaches your inbox.
- How it finds them: shows every mailing list you are subscribed to in one place, and unsubscribes by following the sender's real unsubscribe link.
- Rollups: collect the newsletters you want to keep into one email, delivered daily or weekly.
- Screener: new senders wait outside your inbox until you decide whether to let them in. Known contacts go straight through.
- Providers: Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail or any IMAP account.
- Price: unsubscribe from 10 emails free with no card. Paid plans are billed yearly at $48 for one inbox, $72 for three and $99 for unlimited inboxes. Every plan includes every feature.
Best for: people who want fewer newsletters and a calmer inbox, and like the idea of a screener for new senders.
Trimbox
A lightweight unsubscribe tool for Gmail in Chrome, with an iPhone app.
- How it finds them: scans your inbox for email lists and unwanted emails.
- Unsubscribe: one click per list, plus one click to delete a sender's past emails.
- Privacy: Trimbox says your email data never leaves your device.
- Price: the iPhone app is free for your first 10 unsubscribes, then needs a subscription. The website does not list prices.
Best for: Gmail users in Chrome who want the quickest possible unsubscribe with no setup.
Gmail's Manage subscriptions
Free and built in, if you can see it.
- What it shows: your active subscriptions in one place, with how many recent emails each sender has sent.
- Unsubscribe: one button per sender, which removes you from that sender's related lists. New mail from them goes to Spam while the request is processed, which can take a few days. Some senders send you to their website to finish.
- Where: on the web it is under More in the left sidebar. Google says it is rolling out gradually, so it may not be on your account yet.
Best for: Gmail users with a modest number of newsletters who do not want another app.
Outlook.com Subscriptions
Microsoft's equivalent, for Outlook.com accounts.
- What it shows: Settings, then Mail, then Subscriptions lists your current subscriptions. Outlook.com finds them by looking for subscription identifiers in message headers.
- Unsubscribe or block: each entry has an Unsubscribe button and a menu to block the sender.
- Limits: Microsoft's article covers Outlook.com only, and the Unsubscribe option can be missing for mail filtered to Junk or from a blocked sender.
Best for: Outlook.com users who want a free list without a third-party app.
How to choose
- Start with your provider. Gmail and Outlook.com users can try the free built-in list first. Zoho users need a tool that connects to Zoho, and Yahoo or iCloud users need Clean Email or Leave Me Alone.
- Decide if you want suggestions or just a list. Under 30 senders, a list is enough. Hundreds of senders is where a per-sender recommendation saves real time.
- Decide what to do with newsletters you like. If you want them out of the inbox but not gone, look at Read Later in Clean Email or Rollups in Leave Me Alone.
- Deal with the backlog too. Unsubscribing stops new mail. It does not clear the 4,000 old issues. A tool that also archives or trashes in bulk finishes the job.
- Check what "unsubscribe" means. Some tools complete it for you, some open the sender's page, and Gmail sends the sender to Spam while it waits.

FAQ
Which app suggests which newsletters to unsubscribe from?
Replyless suggests an action and gives a reason for each sender, and you confirm before anything happens. Clean Email, Leave Me Alone and the built-in Gmail and Outlook.com lists show your subscriptions but leave the choice to you.
Is there a free way to find all my newsletters?
Yes. Gmail's Manage subscriptions and Outlook.com's Subscriptions page are free. Leave Me Alone gives 10 free unsubscribes, and Replyless includes 5,000 free cleanup actions per mailbox.
Does unsubscribing delete my old newsletters?
No. It only stops future mail from senders who honor the request. You need a separate archive or delete step for the backlog.
Can I unsubscribe from newsletters in Zoho Mail?
Yes. Replyless connects Zoho through Zoho's own sign-in and finds the unsubscribe links in your newsletters. Some Zoho senders will still need you to open the link and confirm on their page.
