Every time a message in your inbox looks like it requires a response, Replyless generates a draft reply automatically. You never start from a blank reply box. The draft is waiting for you when you open the message — written in your voice, grounded in the conversation thread, and ready to send or edit. You stay the decision-maker; the AI handles the first draft.

How Replyless generates a reply draft

Replyless uses three sources of context to write each draft:
  • The conversation thread — All previous messages in the thread are used so the reply is coherent and does not repeat information already exchanged.
  • Your communication style — Replyless analyzes your past sent emails (with your permission) to match your typical tone, level of formality, greeting style, and sign-off.
  • Message category and urgency — Drafts for support requests are written differently from replies to personal messages or sales outreach. The category assigned to the message influences the draft’s structure and length.
Drafts are generated as soon as a message is synced to Replyless. By the time you open the message, the draft is ready.
Replyless only reads sent emails to learn your style. It does not use the content of third-party emails to train shared models. See the privacy section below for details.

Review-and-send workflow

1

Open the message

Click any message in your inbox. The original message is displayed at the top, with the AI-generated draft reply shown directly below it.
2

Read the draft

Review the draft for accuracy and tone. Check that it correctly addresses the sender’s question or request, and that the language matches how you would naturally write.
3

Edit if needed

Click anywhere in the draft to edit it directly. You can change wording, add or remove detail, adjust the greeting or sign-off, or rewrite sections entirely. Your edits are saved automatically.
4

Regenerate if the draft misses the mark

If the draft is not a useful starting point, click Regenerate to produce a new version. You can regenerate as many times as you like. Optionally, add a short instruction in the prompt field before regenerating — for example, “Make this more concise” or “Add an apology for the delay.”
5

Send and clear

Click Send to send the reply and clear the message from your inbox in one action. The message moves to your archive, tagged as actioned.
Even a quick scan and small edit before sending is worthwhile. The AI draft is a strong starting point, but you know the relationship and context better than any model. A small personal touch — a name, a specific detail — makes replies feel genuine.

Regenerating a draft with instructions

When you click Regenerate, an optional instruction field appears above the draft. You can leave it blank to get a fresh attempt using the same context, or type a short instruction to steer the output:
Instruction exampleEffect
Shorter, one paragraphProduces a more concise reply
More formal toneAdjusts language toward professional register
Acknowledge the delayAdds an apology for late response
Ask for their availability next weekAdds a scheduling request
Instructions are one-off and do not change how future drafts are generated for other messages.

How the AI learns your style

Replyless builds a style profile from your sent emails over time. The more you use Replyless — and the more you send replies through it — the more accurately it reflects how you write. Key signals include:
  • Average reply length
  • Greeting and sign-off patterns
  • Sentence structure and vocabulary
  • How you handle specific message types (for example, whether you tend to be brief with sales outreach)
You can reset your style profile at any time from Settings → AI → Reset style profile. Replyless will rebuild it from your most recent sent mail.

Privacy considerations

Replyless reads the emails in your connected inbox to generate drafts and build your style profile. This includes sent mail (for style learning) and received mail (for draft context). Replyless does not read emails in folders or labels you have explicitly excluded in settings.
No. Your email content is used only to generate drafts for your own account. It is not shared with other users or used to train any shared or public AI model.
Yes. Go to Settings → AI → Style learning and turn off Learn from sent mail. Drafts will still be generated, but they will rely only on thread context and general writing patterns rather than your personal style.
